How it works
During your visit your therapist uses fine instruments or a special ultrasonic machine to remove the hard tartar from below and in between your teeth. The therapist will remove plaque, stains and polish your teeth thoroughly. Your therapist will also give you advice and tips for perfecting your oral health routine.

Our AirFlow technology can remove any unsightly stains caused by smoking and food or drink, to help create a whiter smile.
Treating gum disease
Gum disease describes swelling, soreness or infection of the tissues supporting the teeth. There are two main forms of gum disease: gingivitis and periodontitis. Our team of therapist and dentists will spend time in advising you on how to care for your teeth and gums.
Each time you are seen a detailed examination of the gums is carried out and gum care tailored to your specific dental needs.
Why are dental hygiene visits important?
Regular visits to a dental hygienist are crucial for maintaining optimal oral health and preventing dental issues, such as gum disease and bleeding gums. Appointments serve as a preventive measure to ensure that your teeth and gums are thoroughly cleaned. Plaque and tartar can build over time as they can be difficult to remove with regular brushing and flossing. Our expert therapist will perform a professional scale and polish to rid your teeth of plaque, stains and tartar. We will also provide you with personalised advice on how you can improve your home dental routine to be as effective as possible.
How often should I see
a dental hygienist?
We recommend that you see a dental hygiene at least once every six months – we offer membership plans, which include regular dental hygiene appointments. Some patients may need more regular appointments if they suffer from gum disease or ongoing dental health issues. Speak to our expert team about the best schedule for you.
What will happen at my
appointment?
Our dental hygiene therapists perform a comprehensive cleaning. We use fine instruments or a special ultrasonic machine to meticulously remove plaque stubborn tartar from below and in between your teeth, along with removing any unsightly stains from your teeth. If you haven’t visited a dental hygiene therapist for some time, the initial appointment may be vigorous or multiple appointments may be required as your teeth may have a lot of tartar, plaque and stains.

Once we have completed the stain and polish, we will give you advice and tips for perfecting your oral health routine.
How much does a dental hygiene treatment cost?
